Success for Steps® is a consulting agency serving the needs of today's stepfamilies. Founded by Christina Roach, the goal of Success for Steps® is to recognize the experiences of those living in step relationships and assist in making those experiences the best possible. With this aim, Christina is committed to each and every one of her clients as evident in the services she provides.
Our Mission Statement
Our passion is to help individuals, couples, and families make their experience in 'step' a successful one. We do this through providing education, awareness, and supportive counseling & coaching to help these relationships become stronger and thrive.
Whether you are a stepparent, step-grandparent, child, or biological parent living in step, Success for Steps® works with you in finding effective solutions that fit your life. During her graduate studies, Christina Roach realized that traditional marital and family therapy models offered little to no emphasis on the unique dynamics of stepfamilies; what makes Success for Steps® unique is that we have a distinct focus on stepfamilies.
The Difference at Success for Steps®
As a Stepfamily Coach (certified through the Stepfamily Foundation), Christina Roach is specifically trained in the understanding and the resolution of those dynamics that make the stepfamily different from the biological family. She has also received advanced clinical training for working with stepfamilies through the National Stepfamily Resource Center, the Alabama Community Healthy Marriage Initiative, and the Florida Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. This specialization enhances her ability to work effectively with clients in 'step' relationships. Christina received her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, is a Liscensed Mental Health Counselor (#MH11532), National Certified Counselor (NCC #260799) and Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC #906); as such she is versed in family systems, counseling techniques, marital therapy and stepfamily methodologies.

Working with Christina Roach
Through her work at Success for Steps®, Christina works with individuals, couples, and families experiencing stepfamily and relationship concerns; women's issues; self-esteem issues; life transitions; GLBT issues; stress and anger management; and personal growth concerns. Clients benefit from Christina's advanced clinical training from the Stepfamily Foundation, the National Stepfamily Resource Center, and her graduate degree in counseling.
Services are provided in our office located in Old Hyde Park Village in South Tampa, Florida with distance counseling services also provided over the telephone and Internet (ie. email, chat). We understand that concerns arise outside of standard business hours so we gladly offer weekend and evening appointments. Christina offers a FREE Initial Consultation for potential new clients.
Success for Steps® also provides many valuable educational materials and hosts workshops/seminars on the 'Modern Family' throughout the community.
